If an MK is spamming tornado, either hold shield and punish afterwards (learn to angle your shield), or DI out and punish it from above, where it doesn't have a hitbox. Or pivot-grab MK out of it. Or heck, you take like 7% damage from it and then punish the MK when it's over.
If the MK is really just spamming tornado and it's wrecking you, it's not because the move is overpowered, but because you're failing. At high-level play, tornado is used well, but definitely not spammed. Except maybe in Bowser's case... and even then, the MK better know darn well how to not get punished (ex. by Bowser's CG on MK). |

Hey, kind of disappeared for a little while, but I and several of my roommates are looking to play some Smash bros. Alas, I'm no longer skilled in Melee and the others only play Brawl, so Brawl seems to be the game of choice.
